I working for a company that builds machines for other business. I write the technical documentation for the customer to service and maintenance their machine.
Sure, I'm just a dumb English major and the new hire has a background in engineering, but he is not familiar with this type of machine nor does he have experience in the document system that we use. I've been with the company for over three years with good reviews. I honestly wouldn't have been upset if he made slightly more than I did, considering this background, but $9/hr is a huge difference, and honestly, that money would change my life a lot.
I've been training him and now I've lost all motivation to do so. Poor guy, it's not even his fault.
