Should I be annoyed that the non-veteran managers took off Memorial Day and I, the only veteran at my work is stuck picking up the slack for them?

Memorial Day is for the fallen which I am obviously not but if anyone should get the day off I think it would be a veteran over a manager. Would be fine if everyone came to work as usual but management taking the day off is a slap in the face. I could be alone in this since the people I have told get a glassy look with a bit of drool down the corner of their mouths. Any thoughts?
