Unpopular opinion: just because the system is rigged, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t play it

I feel that people are usually too far on one side of a dichotomy. They either believe that the system is totally rigged and if you're a loser in the system, it's impossible to win. Or, they believe that all losers in the system are lazy and make bad choices and that's why they can't win. I think it's possible to know that the system is rigged, and if you're a loser in the system it's much, much harder to win than if you were already advantaged. But that doesn't mean it's impossible and that doesn't mean you shouldn't try and play the system the way it wants you to play it. Try and increase your earning potential, try and gain access to capital and income producing assets. Yes, in an ideal world, we would all band together and change the system and we should try and do that but…

Yes, in an ideal world, we would all band together and change the system and we should try and do that but in the meanwhile, you shouldn't stop trying to win just because it's rigged. Changing the system might take a while, if ever and you need money before that happens.
