I don’t know who here listens to Rogan but I do. He used to be pro universal basic income, even after his $potify deal. Now lately he says he’s against it, and uses a stupid anecdotal story about pandemic money. He tells how a friend of his who ran a bar couldn’t get his bartender to come back to work full-time. Is bartender didn’t want more than 20 hours, because he would lose his unemployment. Joe Rogan uses this as an example that if you give people money they don’t wanna work. What is missing is, if it was universal basic income, Or money not attached to unemployment, then the Bartender would not have lost anything coming back to work. When we attach money to a lack of work, then people will not want to work. When we give people money and say they can earn more the results will be different.
