My story here is a long one but I think I can condense it pretty neatly. For reference, my normal schedule is Wed-Sat overnight. As well as using my NSFW account as my normal account is pretty named.
Strike one: February 2022
Was asked if I could cover a shift, my start to being THE guy for covering shifts. Was basically working 6 days a week, taking a week off, back to 6 days a week followed by a week off. On my off week, I got asked to come in anyways. I was in a road trip, 6 hours away, in a different state. I informed my boss Earliest I could show up was at 2am. 6 hours after our normal clock in time, because I was 6 hours away.
He said, sure, I’ll take it; I then proceed to drive in tornado warnings from Arkansas to Texas through Oklahoma, to get to work.
Strike two: May 2022
At this point, I’ve been working 6 days a week since February, and I inform my boss on my 2 “off” days I’m running late (our job has a 30 minute gap where two shifts overlap in case stuff like this)
I was within the gap period and was informed “please don’t do this again. This is at the expense of other agents.”
Strike 2.5:
I asked for a raise got denied, also informed him not to call us at 2pm which is our 2am
Strike 3: this week
Wednesday: I called in saying I’ll need to leave early on Saturday shift (which would be Sunday at that point) by two hours, he approved my guy to cover for me and called it a day.
Today: he called me (at 2pm) asking if I could stay late Sunday morning, reminded him that I requested off and had Guy covering for me.
He promptly stated that guy was not allowed to cover and I NEEDED to find someone else.
