So I work as a health aide at a school and I requested PTO for 8/8-8/12. I emailed my supervisor and she agreed, then the next day she emailed me stating that HR would not allow me to do so. Unfortunately during the time frame that I thought my PTO was approved, I agreed to a vacation trip which will cost me $1k even if i don’t go due to it being a no-refundable trip. The HR manager states that I can’t get it approved due to it being the first day of school and I have already requested that I can do unpaid leave, but it was still denied. I was just wondering what else I could do? Because I really love this job and I get paid well, but I don’t want to pay $1k for me to just not go
