American workers need to stop exploiting people who just got to this country or who don’t understand how things work here as well as they do. I used to work at multiple warehouses where many of the workers were foreigners and being a foreigner myself I understood the specific language as well as English. Multiple times I’d see American workers try to shift work onto them because they didn’t understand and they thought they were suppose to continuously work while their American counterparts just chilled. My mom also works as a nurse and on multiple occasions tells me that the workers there will shift all the work to the foreigners who work there believing they’ll just do it without complaint because they don’t usually speak up for themselves, due to the different environment than they were raised or because they stimply don’t understand. I’ve also had this happen to me on multiple occasions from people who didn’t think I spoke or understood English. It’s disgusting and you are treating people as if they are lesser than you because of where you were born and the language you are fluent in.
