I had to leave work today due to a doctor’s appointment, which was near the end of the day. There was only an hour left of work before I left for my doctor’s appointment.
Anyhow, my boss came up to me before I clocked out and asked if I would volunteer to come in tomorrow since I was leaving “early.” I told him no. I already work very long hours at this job and want to enjoy my weekend. Due to me saying no, he proceeded to lecture me about not volunteering and that I would need to volunteer in the future.
Just needed to vent. It is not my responsibility to volunteer due to my workplace being understaffed.
