Really… there’s no more they can take from me.

You think things are okay… then it all changes in a heartbeat. So in the space of two weeks I went from a marriage, a house and property, health insurance, and a decent if not awesome job to… Separated, Homeless, propertyless, with my sole possessions being some clothes and a decent automobile (paid for thankfully). From then until now (about two months) I've relied on the help of friends and family in the last two weeks I've managed to find another job and am renting from a childhood friend who doesn't care about credit ratings or other such BS.

In the meanwhile Citi and Synchrony (my only credit cards) have absolutely LOST THEIR FREAKING MINDS and even after multiple phone calls and agreements that we could “work it out”, they have continued to charge absolutely ruinous fees and fines. In two months my formerly modest credit debit has nearly tripled and it shows no sign of slowing down.

I would have considered the pay at my current job to have been “decent” for the position a few months ago but with all that has been happening in the economy and the loony credit companies I would literally need to make 82% more than I currently do -just to hold even- and they aren't even taking health insurance out yet.

So I'm looking around at my decent but bare accommodations, the need for food, fuel, and clothes so that I can maintain my work situation, and I've come to the conclusion that there really isn't much else “they” can take from me. I guess bankruptcy is going to be my friend.
