I work at a grocery store and have only worked there for a couple weeks, but came from a different store. When I was I interviewing with the manager I told her for the summer I want to work monday-Thursday for now until school starts. And I got hired as a lead. But every time I worked I was scheduled as cashier and not lead, so I asked her when I could get lead shifts and she said she’d work on it. When I look at the schedule I’m scheduled Wednesday-Saturday (outside of my availability) and when I asked her if she meant to do that she said “yep! No one has a set schedule!!” I feel like she’s doing this to “make a point” or something. But when she scheduled me like this she completely ignored my request off so I said “so is my time off not approved?” And she said “you requested off?” And I said yes and took a screenshot and it has been 24 hours and she has not responded.
