I got the ultimatum. If you don’t like it you can leave. So I walked out during the lunch rush.

I bartend at a golf resort in San Diego. 1 month ago a bartender quit. Immediately after her departure the courses began to pick up. We have 3 18 hole courses on property and a shuttle that runs between the courses and the casino. For 1 month we have been running with 2 bartenders at a time. Don’t get me wrong I love walking with 200+ dollars a night. But the overwhelming volume for 2 people was getting to be too much. (The bartenders are also the servers with 20 tables). One of our bartenders requested her birthday off 1 month ago. She rented a hotel and the pool. She was denied because we were short staffed. Luckily I drive Lyft and had planned on moving cities on August 1st regardless so it’s not all bad. I’m embarrassed and proud of myself at the same time. I can no longer take being treated like I have no worth.
