So today I found out that literally every single one of my coworkers got a two dollar raise while received a one dollar raise in order for the company to be “more competitive and retain new associates”. I’ve been here for 7 years in August and now I only make 1.50 more than someone who just started.
I’ve never had to negotiate stuff like this so please help me formulate what to say to get a good chance at being correctly. I’m the back up when my boss isn’t there, the person who trains people, and the most knowledgeable and now it feels like I’m being punished for it.
