Just had my first interview in 5+ years. Absolutely appalled by how I was treated

First interview in over 5 years. Was really excited to hop into a new industry at the recommendation of one of my old coworkers. He spoke so highly of this employer, so I was really looking forward to the interview today. Well, that interview just ended maybe 30 minutes ago and I'm sitting here feeling….I don't know how to describe it. Shocked? The interview went really well- I am pretty sure I would have been offered the second interview with the manager of the dept, but that all changed when I made one comment about availability. When I doubled down on how important that is to me (it's not like it's requesting days off for the sake of it) they told me that work should come first and that if this isn't what I want then I can walk away.

So now I'm not sure what to do as I assume most companies will also not accommodate my every second weekend off to visit my daughter…What do I do, blow my head off now or start my own business and make my own schedule (Joking about this- I know nothing about running a business)
