What are your thoughts on whether more companies will move in the direction of allowing people to work from home permanently?
I just started a new job in Marketing where I am on my laptop all day most days, and it easily could be done from home… yet I'm driving 30+ mins to the office to sit at my desk. Having worked from home before, I feel like I've been spoiled and now I don't understand the point of coming in when you really don't have to. Sucks because it is a good opportunity that I don't want to pass up, but I'm spending a lot on gas and the commute/getting dressed up part is taking up to 2 hours out of my days.
From what I've heard it's somewhat of a mixed bag (some companies are heading back into the office, some are permanently WFH, some never allowed it).
Edit: wanted to add that I live in Kentucky, and I can imagine things being better off in more forward thinking areas.
