I'm asking the following question in good faith:
So, currently – the only options one has to effectively lead a workfree life (on an individual level) is either:
- Pension.
- The capitalist route (investor, shareholder, landlord, etc).
There's the possibility of UBI of course, but it is not something one can individually pursue.
My question is this: What are some leftist (non-exploitative) options one can pursue to effectively lead a workfree life?
In this case, I'm strictly curious about options one can pursue individually; rather than long-term, collectivist strategies (seizing the means of production, automation, etc).
In the case there aren't any, then what would you describe as the “least evil” Capitalist options?
Note: Workers' cooperatives are great when it comes to the non-exploitative part, but they still typically consist of as much work as any other job – from my experience.
Thanks!
