I'm a student and I work part time at a retail job just to make some extra money. I have called out sick one time in the past year and a half since I've worked there.
I got food poisoning and it was mild but still enough to make me not comfortable around other people so I called out (this was around 6:30 in the morning after throwing up for most of the night).
He was so mad that I didn't find someone to cover my shift that I think I might get written up and punished. Was I actually in the wrong?
