Keep working, hospital later

I worked at a fast food place that franchises. Our owner was notoriously cheap (we had to cover up expired product we threw away with paper towels or he’d fish it out and re-date it). One time, the coworker that puts the orders together went to bring an order out to a car and slipped on some ice. She broke her fall with her wrist. She was told to wait in the back until lunch rush was over. Then our owner took her to urgent care. She’s been having problems with that wrist for the last two years now. I remember walking by her writhing in pain and thinking “Is this really what life is supposed to be like?” SMH. Just another sad story I guess. Not really a point.
