Antiwork

I’m conflicted! Job pays less, no tuition reimbursement, long commute, but I love the people.

I just accepted a job at a company for a 20% raise, 15 minute commute, 8 hour work day, and tuition reimbursement. My current position requires me to drive an hour to / fro every day (on contract, this could change) and offers no tuition reimbursement and with no clear track forward in my career. But I love the people at the job I am leaving and I feel terrible to leave them in a bad position. This might be more pro work than anti work but I do want to hear your thoughts. I felt so bad when I made the call. Edit: Old job is usually entirely remote, but I was the only person on a contract that required on-site work.
