Yeah I understand that it’s a common rule to stand all the time. But no customers were in and my station was clean. Nothing to put back. Had dusted that morning, cleaned everything up.
Boss comes around says “never in a million years do that again!” Because I had been there 6 hours, I have bad legs, so I sat on the counter. She said “there’s always something to do” and listed a bunch of things I had done when I came to work at 6 AM. sigh. I think they know it’s not about actually being busy. It’s about looking busy.
