Threatened and punished for discussing wage with my managers.

Two days into me being hired at a (boomer) mom and pop store i was being trained by two ‘managers’ (one was a shift lead). We had been speaking about how once I completed training (passed a test) i would increase from 12.50 to 13$. I then corrected the manager saying i was hired on at 13.50 and was to be moved to 14 when i passed. I guess the shift lead wasn’t getting that much and complained (rightfully so) to the owner. I just about quit and throw the law in their face but i need rent money so i held my tongue.

Later i ask for another meeting and i showed them the law stating i am legally allowed to talk about my wages, they then say im still on a warning for other reasons.

Im reporting them to the national labor relations board. Any other advise?

Edit: i am quitting when i find another job, but being threatened isnt something i take lightly. I want to make sure they know they f-ed up
