So some context: I work in the photography industry and have been giving interviews for a job for some of the commercial companies to make a good commercial work portfolio.
Anyway, so for the job, the owner of the company was doing the interview himself where he spoke more than I did and was then told that he owns 3 other companies and he will need my assistance in handling visual operations for them as well – photo shoots, photo retouching, managing shoots, delivery to client, reaching out to potential customers and a lot more and in his own words “You will be doing the role of a founder essentially”. I was like okay… and then the conversation moved on to the pay and I quoted 50% more than the base pay (base pay would barely cover my rent) they were offering for all the responsibilities he just described. That’s when he told me that “what is money” people get paid on the basis of what they are worth and “you know you’re worth and that’s how much you will be compensated for”
What the fuck is wrong with these people
