Lyrics I wrote for a song called, “What Gives?”

Sold my records for some gas/ For my car, don't mean the grass Panhandlers out, both dusk and dawn/ Give em five to keep pushing on Politicians out of touch/ Corporate fucks take way too much Dems and Reps, two heads one snake/ Action now? They take tea break What gives? When will things change?/ Does everyone think things look so strange? Moneys the fuel and greed the fire/ Time is up and change is dire We must work hard to bridge the gap/ Or everything good the rich will sap Me and you remain alike/ For common good we must unite Take the power from their hand/ And give it back to the workingman We have the mass just raise the sail/ Do what's right we will prevail What gives? When will things change?/ Does everyone think things look so strange? Moneys the fuel and greed the fire/ Time…

Sold my records for some gas/
For my car, don't mean the grass

Panhandlers out, both dusk and dawn/
Give em five to keep pushing on

Politicians out of touch/
Corporate fucks take way too much

Dems and Reps, two heads one snake/
Action now? They take tea break

What gives? When will things change?/
Does everyone think things look so strange?

Moneys the fuel and greed the fire/
Time is up and change is dire

We must work hard to bridge the gap/
Or everything good the rich will sap

Me and you remain alike/
For common good we must unite

Take the power from their hand/
And give it back to the workingman

We have the mass just raise the sail/
Do what's right we will prevail

What gives? When will things change?/
Does everyone think things look so strange?

Moneys the fuel and greed the fire/
Time is up and change is dire
