Should I give two week’s notice?

I want to quit my job, but I don’t even want to do them the kindness of giving my two weeks. It has become a nightmare place to work, and I do not foresee me ever working for this company again. I have plenty of references outside of this job. But in terms of employment verification, can this come back to screw me? What can a future potential employer call them and ask?
