So a little background about the job. It's an unarmed security officer position at a hospital that pays $13-15 hourly. The employer is not the hospital, but a 3rd party security company.
I applied for the position last week through indeed and received a phone call from a number I didn't recognize a few days later. Also within an hour after the phone call I received an email through indeed from the “captain of operations”…yes thats his title. Lol. The email asked me what was my best day to schedule an interview and that he tried to reach me by phone. I emailed him back promptly and even apologized for not answering the phone as I didn't recognize the number and received no notification of a voicemail.
I received a phone call today from the “captain of operations” and the first thing out of his mouth was “do you remember applying for the job, as I tried contacting you last week and you raise alot of red flags already to me because you didn't return my call”. He said it in a very arrogant and rude manner. I apologized and said I was still interested. He said, good because I am available Wednesday at 1pm if you think you can make it. I told him Wednesday at 1pm was fine. His response was if you can't make it or need to reschedule just call me.
Not a very good 1st impression he made on me by the way that he spoke with me over the phone. Do you think it's even worth my time to go to the interview if he has red flags and an opinion about me before meeting me already.
