I'm an administrative assistant in an office, I get files and prepare documents for EVERYONE, when their shorthanded I'm even trained to do their work as well, I also maintain all records and keep all the digital records updated among a million other things….and I make pennies compared to them. I knew it was less but I didn't think the gap would be so wide.
I'm just so frustrated. It just happened to come up when speaking to someone who just started in an office roll, they are getting a raise after their 90 day review, I've been there 2 years in my role and make so much less and have never received a pay bump.
For context I make $15/h, the data entry clerks get $27/h.
