Been told I work 9-6 now because the wage is good for the area I’m currently in.

So I started off around a year ago working 9-5 at a job where I earned around 30k per year with up to 6k bonus based on performance. I’ve now this year been bumped to 35k per year which in turn means I actually make a little less than when I had my bonus which I hit due to tax. I received a contract when I started stating this and my hours, which are 9-5.

However half way through last year I stayed back to help out with workload till around 6 half 6 a few times a week, of which I was never paid for.

Now I’ve been told that I work 9-6 and the reason is due to the good wage I’m getting for the area.

Thing is I’ve just been offered 60k with potential 20k bonus per year based on performance. Which is 9-5, within a much more well structured business and is a remote position. Meaning on average I will save around £400 per month for travel costs.

The company I’m at is rather small and I have a somewhat good relationship with the boss, how do I go about raising my concerns without coming off as a dick?

Also to note I was called in for a meeting for being 10 minutes late to work a few times, despite the countless times I’ve worked till 7/9 without pay lol.
