How do I gather my team and fight for a raise for one of our own

Without giving too much away as i have coworkers who use Reddit I’ve been working at my current employer for almost 2 years now We’ve had multiple changes in personnel since I started—from those I started with, only two of them stayed. We’ve had multiple changes in personnel since I started—from those I started with, only two of them stayed. Out of 7 in my immediate department.

I recently learned that our new hires are making more than one of my coworkers who has been here longer than I have, in addition to taking a new role and responsibilities. And that’s after our sad ass annual raise.

I love my coworkers and I strongly believe that they’re taking him for granted. How do we as a department take on our upper management to give him a raise? Idk why he’s stayed as long as he has, regardless of that, he shouldn’t be paid the least out of all of us, especially considering he’s been here longer than my current team and he’s carrying a subsection of our department with one other person.

I want to help him make his money, because he’s so good at his job and honestly I’m very disgusted that they’ve pushed back his raise month after month.
