Am I entitled to overtime??

I have a question regarding overtime pay in the U.S. I am aware that overtime must be paid for any work week you worked over 40 hours, however I am searching for a cleaer definition of work week. My situation: My work week schedules go from Monday – Sunday. My pay periods go from the 1st -15th of each month and the 16th-30th or 31st (depending on the days in that month). This most recent pay period, from June 1st to 15th, I worked for 45 hours for the first seven days. Although I worked no more than 40 hours in each of the three “schedule weeks” that were part of this pay period (weeks are 5/30-6/05, 6/06-6/12, and 6/13-6/19), does the week of June 1st to June 7th, part of this pay period, in which I DID work 45 hours, entitle me to overtime for those 5 hours? I feel like it should and my manager hasnt put the overtime hours on my timecard yet.
