I’m getting tired of work events

I’m an intern for a tech company at the moment and my internship provides us with opportunities like lunch events with organizations. I know it’s a good thing to network and to take advantage of these opportunities but honestly I’m just so tired of them. I just want to be able to work and that’s it. I’ve been told my job won’t hire interns after the internship is over and that makes me more unmotivated.
