How to deal with a employer who has refused my resignation?

I joined this company as a full-time employee this February and am in the probationary period for the first six months. There is a three month notice period for the job, however, either me or the employer can end the employment at will with immediate effect during the probationary period, clearly stated in my appointment letter. I am resigning for multiple reasons, most importantly the fact that this is a toxic workplace. I sent my resignation email yesterday, and I got an email from the CEO stating that they cannot accept the resignation right now as I am in involved in various important activities. I sent the letter on Thursday evening and they want me to talk to the HR on Monday to sort my problems as they are busy with audits this week. I know that legally, they cannot reject my resignation but how do I take it forward…

I know that legally, they cannot reject my resignation but how do I take it forward diplomatically to leave at the earliest?

The reason I gave for my resignation is that the jobs roles and responsibilities do not align with my career goals and that I wish to move to other roles.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm from India, BTW.
