One of my coworkers asked if he could have my sprite bottle after I was done with it (to recycle)

I work at…rhymes with Malbertsons (sucks) and in the break room today a coworker asked if he could have my sprite bottle when I was done with it. I also saw him take some bottles out of the trash, poor guy. We don’t make anything and it’s hard work, no surprise. I don’t know this person (another department) but he’s cool whenever I interact with him, helping with each others trash, or simply passing by. I’m definitely not rich, but I’m doing ok. I want to give this person even just $100, but don’t want to insult/embarrass him. How can I do it? I know lots will say not to. I know the attitude here is with employers with $ should pay more, but that simply doesn’t happen just about every time
