I’ve Got To GTFO Of Corporate

I've come to conclusion that corporate is no longer for me and probably never was from the beginning. I'm sure some can relate to the feeling of doing the, “right things”, we were instructed or influenced to do. Fast forward about eight years and I'm less than a year into my third corporate role and I've never been unhappier. The pay is ok and being able to work from home full time is ok. However, I miss the mornings of not having to take a Xanax before starting my work day just so I can tolerate the bullshit, stress, extremely toxic passive aggressive attitudes, and anxiety over a simple administrative type work that will get scrutinized to the nth degree just so someone can stroke their own ego. I'm wanting to make a pivot after the new year so I can ride out all of the free vacation during the holiday season and stash some cash during this time. I have an idea of what I want to do and actively working on that certification/licensing along with getting an EIN and LLC established. And I've also been speaking to a few friends in the industry and they're all giving me the same advice, it's just something I have to jump into. My health insurance benefits are a complete fucking joke so I'm not really worried about that either. I plan to knock out all my dental, physical, and visions exams before quitting as well.

For those that left corporate, what's something you wish you would have known or planned for? What's something I should consider before leaving or try and reap the benefit of? What's some advice you would give or motivation to not back out?
