I finally had enough and quit my job today. I’ve been here a whole year and get zero respect. They make me work holidays. Im tired of being pressured to “climb the ladder” every day. I’m exhausted. Well, today was it. While I was working I walked straight up to my boss, and told him I wanted a raise because the job description failed to mention that I would be working in such a fast paced, stressful and heated environment. This asshole says (and I quote), “What the hell? Now’s not the time for this there are people dying in there for God’s sake!” After a whole year working as a firefighter I decided enough was enough and I put in my two weeks today – I’m never looking back.
