At work, we had an insurance rep come through.
I held my tongue, but it pisses me off…
Got my birthday and said “Oh you’re just a baby!”
Got to my partners birthday, who is younger than me, “Oh, that’s a surprise!”
Never mind that I’m a grown adult, but that’s rich coming from someone who looks like they should have been able to retire before I was born.
What the hell is it with a generation that loves to tout how they’re a “man” at 12 because they were working and then proceeds to call everyone else “just a baby.”
Ya know what, my guy? There are other insurance companies who aren’t so full of shit that I can use.
That being said – HOW ARE THEY USING “SALES REPS” AS COMMISSION BASED INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS AND NOT PAYING THEM ENOUGH TO FUCKING RETIRE AFTER BEING WITH THE COMPANY DECADES.
