need advice on what to say to a coworker who told me I only think about myself

So I work in a kitchen cooking for elderly at an assisted living facility. I am technically the lead cook. It is myself, our boss, & 5 other girls. We mostly work 12 hour shifts with one 8 hour one per week. We get multiple days off per week as a result. I worked this wknd & we had a issue of plates being put away wet. I was doing other tasks when this happened. But this morning I got a text to our work group message about the plates being wet. I said Idk how or why it happened. The other cook who was working this morning said it was because we put them away wrong & also said I make things about me, what I want. Basically calling me selfish. Idk why she didn't call me to talk directly or message just me. Now everyone involved in the chat saw what she said. I think that alone was inappropriate. I apologized & said I wasn't trying to be selfish but there was no response. Should I let it go or discuss it with her or my boss? I thought about telling her I don't appreciate being called selfish in a group chat for others to see, but I did not respond.
