This morning my coworker emailed our acting office manager (I call her acting because, she isn’t really the office manager, she’s a level ABOVE that but we currently don’t have a manager so she’s acting as ours) anyways, she reaches out as she’s noticing an issue. She has been tasked with doing something for one of our providers and it’s too much for her to handle on certain days of the week when she is assigned other, extra tasks.
This vile woman attaches me and our other 2 coworkers, and writes a snarky reply. Saying she doesn’t understand why we feel we are understaffed (my coworker mentioned we were understaffed in her original email.) She said she would like to know my coworker’s definition of fully staffed.
WE ARE UNDERSTAFFED. IT IS A FACT.
We have one person out until further notice for sick leave, I stepped down from my old position so now that position is also open, and we’re down one other assistant. The position I switched to was also already open when I took it— the positions have been open for almost a year. NOT TO MENTION WE DON’T HAVE A MANAGER?
I can’t believe this. This woman has always been snarky and kind of stand off-ish, but I can’t believe she can’t even be trusted to email back and forth PRIVATELY with one of her employees. This is my final straw. If I can’t trust my direct supervisor, I can’t trust anyone.
Phone interview for me today 20 minutes after this shift ends! Wish me luck.
