Was told i can’t wear warmth head clothing I winter at work

This was a couple of weeks ago. This is Aus and it's winter here, so naturally i wear a beanie because it's freezing at work. Was told by my manager's boss that I can't wear my beanie on the floor – to which I replied that if he showed me a uniform beanie or something for warmth on my head, I'll happily grab one instead. Basically a compromise but trying to stand my ground. Well, a few days later my manager's mentions it as well (he's a nice dude, but super a** kissy) to which I reply a similar way. Few hours later I get a group email remind everyone of uniform standards hidden amongst other trivial stuff. Now, I'm lucky enough to have a diagnosis for a mental disorder that normal people don't give a crap about researching, so I emailed back something like – okay since you're all…

okay since you're all gonna be adamant about this, I'll explain. I have a condition that makes me sensitive to different stuff, and that includes my ears and head when it gets cold – which impacts my ability to concentrate and affects the quality of my services with my clients – like I mentioned I can get a branded beanie or black if that's preferred and available. I can also provide medical proof

He immediately replied saying that it was fine and they could probably make an exception for me in that case.

What annoys me the most is that why in the hell shouldn't we be able to wear warmth clothing (in a gym or all damn places) because the higher executives might walk into the gym and be offended?

If they do get offended that says so much about how detached they are from reality haha everyone else was forced to take theirs off…

Ahh the capitalist world
