I work a blue collar job, the pay is good the hours are long.
My problem is that the crew I work with are mean to me. And yeah that’s kind of expected in a blue collar environment but it still messed up.
They do things like call me gay, ask if I’m mentally challenged, and other verbal harassment.
Once my boss slammed his clipboard down and screamed at me for looking for a tool in the wrong spot.
Anytime I express my feelings they act as if I’m being a baby and tell me it’s all jokes.
I have one co worker who is nice to me and he is leaving for a better paying job elsewhere.
I have a job prospect but it doesn’t start for a month and I don’t even have the job yet.
I’m not sure what to do.
TDLR: Don’t work a blue collar job unless you want to be bullied by boomers.
