“Everywhere is hiring” is a myth.

Just moved and looking for a new job. My dad keeps telling me “it should be easy for you to find a job,” all the while I have applied to over 60 places (and counting) in the past month and all I can get interviews for are $12 gigs at starbucks. I am a former teacher with a Master's(Save yourself if your in college and don't get an education degree, it's financial suicide. Also, talk about being unappreciated.). I feel like I have skills that would be useful in so many other fields. Sucks that it's just retail and food that seems to see it. Not sure if it's the area I live in, but it seems impossible to find something paying over $20 with health insurance. Just wondering if others are feeling/experiencing similar things.
