Antiwork

Fun reminder that most companies paying for abortion travel have supported conservatives so they can get tax breaks, subsidies and worker suppression laws. Paying abortion travel is a small price to keep workers childless and working. It is not an act of goodwill.

Pregnant workers/parents can be problematic. While some sectors benefit from workers having children, the cost of a pregnant employee is much higher. Particularly now as worker shortages give us the upper hand, companies can't afford the cost of pregnant employees. Many don't want to pay paternity leave that is promised as well as the rise in health insurance costs. In addition, a child often leads to demand in pay since children are expensive and there aren't enough available workers to low ball wages. Paying abortion costs is a pittance compared the tax breaks, anti-union and anti worker laws red states give them. These companies have spent millions getting right wing totalitarians elected and now they are trying to make themselves look like heroes for doing what benefits them 100%. Stop buying it. Stop glorifying the abusers who put us in this position from the beginning.
