I currently work for a “billion dollar” company that has at least 7 of us at working at the same rate across 4 different shifts(not including shift premiums).
For the past 2 years I've constantly been what you so called produce or make the most part through the job. More in a week then 2 other shifts combined. The only reason why I work this hard because I have to stay busy constantly. I read and listen to music sometimes have movies or shows on at the same time, just to keep my mind occupied.
I do the same job while I witness other people starting the machine late or ending it early or a stop start way. I don't care about what they do nor do I want to make this any trouble for any other people ask I don't sign they're paycheck or have the same need to be busy.
Management knows this but don't mention anything of our difference in prodcution numbers or appreciated a good days of work I do. Today I finally feel the affect of not being appreciated when I've been asked all week to do the hardest job we have. Wanted the Saturday to be just a smooth easy day for which I was suppose to do all week (there is job rotation and schedule list of employee jobs). As soon as I come in my supervisor's supervisor is waiting at the door(there is no supervisors on the weekend), came in on a Saturday afternoon just to tell me and only me what job to do today.
Sorry about grammer and spelling it's about 1AM and I am tired. I also don't want to sleep off this anger and I might of just needed to vent to remeber.
