How to General Protest as a Teacher/Educator?

Hi I’m currently a paid Teacher-Intern during the summers (for summer school in a small town, heavy dominated by republicans) and constantly work in public education with a variety of roles (such as subbing, teaching, paraprofessional work, etc.) at different places. If I can participate fully in a Strike (such as the one people are advocating for this Monday June 27) how would you recommend me to “slow down” at my work place? How could I explain it to students, staff, and the district?
