I’m here for the pay and the pay only. But my goodness this company is aggressive about coming into the office and “networking” even though it’s supposed to be optional to come in. And SO much time is wasted on non-job tasks, meeting after meeting just people talking to talk, proof that our workweeks/days could probably much shorter. I have zero interest in climbing the corporate ladder like I guess these other people do. I don’t see myself lasting here more than a year or two, although I feel bad because a family friend helped me get this job. Anyone have any tips on surviving corporate while I plan my escape? Lol.
