My buddy seems to think the system is just fine how it is, that it is perfectly normal for only the “strong” to succeed.
I asked him what makes a person strong, he said success.
I told him there are many path to success.
He said everyone out here crying about how its all rigged just need to be better than everyone else and then they won't fail. That is is perfectly natural for the strong to prey on the weak. That's how nature works and that's how the world works.
I got quiet, and asked…
“So….if it is natural for the strong to prey on the weak, and a psychopath comes along, and uses his skill of murder and deception to kill you and your family off , taking everything you worked for then the system has succeeded based off your definition?”
He said ” hell no, that bullshit and the police need to arrest that guy “
To which I said “So then its not about the strong naturally preying on the weak. The life you have only exist because you suckled up to the tit of conformity and then add a little luck.”
He said no.
I said many people work hard and still don't make it because in truth the system isn't fair, it is not just.
He said it was the best we have and the best we can do.
We said agree to disagree.
