My supervisor JUST had her baby and sent our manager photos of the baby who in turn shared them with the team. But the photos showed the baby still had a little bit of placenta/blood on it and it was in an incubator and wrapped in some kind of protective plastic. I mean I get that babies being born are, for the most part, a joyous occasion and I’m not trying to diminish that but these photos were jarring and a bit shocking for me. Usually, people send baby photos when the baby is clean and swaddled. I don’t think it’s right that I had to see pictures like that at work.
