I feel conflicted on this because this isn't a situation where they're just refusing to pay me. They've also been decent (not great, but decent) employers generally speaking.
Anyway, they are a small business and pay via check. They don't do direct deposit. First 3 or 4 paychecks were fine. Then I get my paycheck from last week. I deposit it, it goes through, and then it gets withdrawn because my employer has “insufficient funds”. Employers say its a one time blip, that their account got hacked and they had to close it immediately and now it's solved. They re pay me in cash and cover the fee my bank charged.
Flash forward to today- I deposited this week's check on Monday and now the exact same thing happened. They put a hold on my account too which luckily I was able to undo for now but like…seriously? I called my manager who told me she was off. So then I called the store owner who guilt tripped me for calling her about it because she was dealing with something serious (she actually was for the record, I won't go into detail for now though because it's irrelevant). She told me she would pay me in cash again
But because of this I end up getting my payments a week late not to mention my account is being flagged for fraud. I'm pretty sure if this happens again they're going to close my account. What do I do?
