I have been burned by overtime making up a portion of my guaranteed money, and asked if I would get that overtime on my checks for sure. They responded yes and so I agreed. But they split the pay period so unless payroll falls on Saturday or Sunday, as the do payroll on the 1st and 15th, I can work 50+ hours a week and not hit overtime. Now I can't make ends meet. I need a job and I am struggling to find anything that would pay more, so quitting isn't an option right now. This is the best place I could think to ask.
