my manager ignored my coworker/friend in pain.

this just happened today. i work in a warehouse, the company is an alright company, but some of the managers are just shitty. today we had one of those shitty managers. funny enough, nobody likes him. if you mention his name, 95% of people say they don’t like him. anyway, on to the story. so my coworker pulled his back not too long ago. he was able to get a few days off to rest. it sounds like he has no choice but to work because he needs the money from what he has told me. when an injury like that happens, it gets reported and notifies all managers in the area. the other four managers we have are understanding of my friends injury and make sure he isn’t overworking himself, but that wasn’t the case today. our trailer was started to get slammed and my friends back was starting…

so my coworker pulled his back not too long ago. he was able to get a few days off to rest. it sounds like he has no choice but to work because he needs the money from what he has told me. when an injury like that happens, it gets reported and notifies all managers in the area. the other four managers we have are understanding of my friends injury and make sure he isn’t overworking himself, but that wasn’t the case today.

our trailer was started to get slammed and my friends back was starting to hurt him bad. at the beginning of the shift, my friend asked the manager if he could just cover one trailer today because of his back, the manager assigned him to three different trailers. towards the end of our first shift, my coworkers back began to hurt, we were getting slammed and he asked our manager for help, his response was “there’s two of you in there, right?” my friend reminded the manager of his back and he still ignored him. it got so bad my friend started to scream in pain at times. i wish i was making this up. i felt so bad for him and didn’t know what to do. the manager would occasionally check on our trailer and tell us to “hurry up”. my friend talked to higher up managers at lunch and was able to go home. like what the fuck. oh and he can’t afford to visit a chiropractor, healthcare woooohoooo!!

but what the actual fuck.?!
