Can’t keep up.

My husband lost his job a few months ago, I thought we'd be fine for a bit. But we are drowning. He must he terrible in interviews, because he is still unemployed. I have some tricks to stretch a dollar from growing up poor, but they're all played out. I made $70k last year (a LOT of overtime) but that's still not enough for two people to live on apparently. Bills are getting behind. When the pandemic started he was layed off, we were fine, even had some money leftover. Is inflation really that bad? I am lucky, my hourly wage is over three times the federal minimum, and over twice my state minimum, but I am still sad looking at my paycheck, knowing I need more.
