Antiwork

Best Petty revenge ever.

This happens in a company next to where I work, in California. There was an employee who was fed up with the working standards and force to come to office by managers who still were working from home. She had many issues like safety (sick people forcedto vome to office), No covid compliance, etc with company's working standards, as they were deteriorating citing losses in Covid (by company). Last week they had quaterly results (Apr – Jun), and most of ground staff had to go through Pay Cut, ranging from 3% to some even 15%. This the background of her situation, now what she did. This the background of her situation, now what she did.

She came in Monday sat on her desk and did nothing. Just sat there, if some manager called and asked her to do something she never said NO, but didn't do the work either.

Monday evening when the things weren't done, they called her early next day for explanation, she didn't gave any.
Same shit for Tuesday, Wednesday. Said “Yes”, “I am On it”, etc, didn't do Anything.

Matters got escalated, they fired her, she got full severance pacakage plus few months of Health insurance.

When we met her, she said “It was worth it, watching the managers burn out of confusion and frustration, as nothing was getting done when on paper (chat and email) everthing was alright, it broke their little brains, when they tried to bridge the gap of deliverables to their higher management sitting at their home.”

I think she will find a good job soon enough as she is pretty good at what she does.
